Joy Break: Friends and Family Surprise Girl Finished With Chemo With a ‘Social Distancing’ Parade
When we turn on our televisions or smart phones we are bombarded with news that brings us down. Where are all the good stories? They’re still there. Here’s one that we hope will bless you.
Young Coco Danz finished her final chemo treatment earlier this week. On her way home, Coco came across an amazing sight: a “social distancing parade” put on by her friends and family.
Coco was stunned to see many of her loved ones lining the streets, shouting and cheering. They sat on top of or near their cars decked out with streamers, balloons and happy notes of congratulations. At first, Coco smiled and waved, but soon was in tears. (Spoiler alert: You will be too.)
Coco’s mom, April Danz, tweeted the happy news in response to actor John Krasinski’s tweet asking for #SomeGoodNews. “#SomeGoodNews my daughter, Coco, finished her final chemo treatment yesterday and our friends had a surprise social distancing welcome home parade for her!”

Krasinski wasn’t the only one who was excited to hear the news. Former New York city mayor Rudy Giuliani also tweeted his congratulations to Coco. “God bless your family! Welcome home, Coco!”
