Joy Break: An Anti-Woke News ‘Freedom Convoy’ Protestor is a Good Samaritan for a Woke News Outlet

By Nancy Flory Published on February 23, 2022

When we turn on our televisions or smart phones we are bombarded with news that brings us down. Where are all the good stories? They’re still there. Here’s one that we hope will bless you.

When covering the Freedom Convoy trucker camp in Arnprior, Ontario, a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) van slid off the road and got stuck in snow. One of the protestors, Tyson Gareau, happened to be wearing a “Defund the CBC” hat. The CBC has been extremely hostile toward the truckers and the Freedom Convoy. But that didn’t stop Gareau from being the proverbial “Good Samaritan.” A CBC employee posted on Twitter that Gareau knew they were CBC employees, but pulled them out of the ditch anyway.

“He said he’d never leave anyone stuck like that,” wrote Ashley Burke of CBC. Gareau told the CBC employees that he has been sleeping in the back of his truck during the “Freedom Convoy.” He lost his job as a trucker. He “doesn’t know what comes next but said he wants freedom for his grandkids.”

Read the post and watch Gareau pull the CBC van out of the ditch:
