Joy Break: Always Be Kind
When we turn on our television or smart phones we are bombarded with news that brings us down. Where are all the good stories? Those stories are still there. Here’s one that we hope will bless you.
Always be Kind
Jamario Howard, JaMychol Baker and Tae Knight recently went out to eat in Oxford, Alabama, when they noticed an elderly woman eating alone. Jamario wrote in a Facebook post that he thought “dang, I’d hate to have to eat alone.” After he thought about it, he asked the woman if he could join her. She agreed.
“We talked for a minute and after a while of talking she told me she lost her husband,” Jamario added. “[T]omorrow would have been their 60th anniversary.” He asked her to join him and his friends for dinner at their table. She happily joined the three friends.
Jamario wrote that you never know what people are going through. “The point in this is always be kind and be nice to people.” He added that the elderly woman changed his outlook on life and how he looks at other people. “Everyone has a story so do not judge! And people I can’t stress this enough. GO SEE YOUR MOM AND YOUR GRANDPARENTS. They miss you!!”
Jamario’s post has gone viral with 75,000 shares and 27,000 comments.
