Is There Strange Fire in the Prophetic Movement?

By Wanda Alger Published on June 5, 2025

Recently, Wanda Alger released two words about the way God seems to be examining prophetic ministry in the Church. Sacred cows and idolatry of the gifts need to be placed on the altar in exchange for pursuing His presence.

And I think that’s where any of these, I mean, it could be prophecy, it could be words of knowledge, it could be healing. When we begin to presume upon God, presume upon our ability to use God’s gift for our intentions, for our gain, our ministry or platform. That’s where it goes south. That’s where it becomes idolatry. And that’s where it becomes strange fire. The only way the gifts of God are going to reflect the glory of God is if we place our own glory on the [Music] [Applause] altar. Well, hey everyone. Wanda Alger

00:00:47
here. Today we are going to be talking about prophets and prophecy. Uh the prophetic ministry is under a lot of scrutiny these days and it should be in this time of exposures. Uh God is not only bringing corruption to the light and sexual immorality but prophetic integrity is really being evaluated and it needs to be. And as a prophetic voice, I have been releasing things and sharing things on this channel and some of my other platforms about the prophetic. And this is a very hard season for those who have followed the

00:01:20
prophets or prophetic voices. There’s a lot on the table right now. There’s a lot of conversation. And it’s caused me to go back and evaluate some of the things that I have posted, evaluated some of my practices and and you know, how I approach hearing from the Lord and how I share things from the Lord. And just as God is doing with these exposures in the church, he’s wanting us to get back to his standard, the word of God. I mean that’s the that’s the bigger picture. He is preparing us as the body

00:01:48
of Christ. It’s a messy business and there can be a lot of confusion online uh right now as to you know who’s speaking rightly out of a right spirit. Uh you know we just really need to be praying. I’ve really been praying through this season. I’ve actually not been posting quite as much. Of course my husband’s on a sabbatical right now uh from pastoral ministry. So I’ve kind of backed up. We’ve been doing a lot of traveling. But it’s caused me to kind of pause a little bit and be much more reflective about what I post. Um, and to

00:02:18
make sure, am I really hearing accurately from the Lord? Am I sharing it in the right way? So, I want to share with you two words that I recently posted on my website. If you’ve already been subscribed to wandalry.me, then you would have gotten a notification about them. Now, I’m going to be telling you how to access that later on as well as what’s on my website because when we’re talking about prophetic ministry and prophetic integrity, uh there’s a lot that we just need to evaluate and update. You know, maybe you have

00:02:48
followed prophetic ministry for a long time and it’s like, yeah, you know all the rules. You know what to look for. Well, I’ve had to go back even in things that I have taught and I’m needing to upgrade them. You know, I mean, this should be the practice of any believer is that we’re always growing, always maturing. I was going back and reviewing some of my YouTube videos uh today and you know there are things that I put out two three years ago that I need to update uh you know and I I can’t go back

00:03:13
and edit everything but hopefully that can demonstrate that hey I want to be teachable like everybody else and so that’s why I’m doing you know these videos and presenting some of the things that I am even though I’ve taught on it for years I always want to keep things fresh you know what what does it look like in this season Lord what are you teaching us now that you know I I need to change from how I’ve been doing it in the past. So these two words uh though they are written I’m going to read them

00:03:43
but I’m going to be adding a lot more detail to them because I want you to think about how you approach the prophetic uh what you’ve been pursuing who you’ve been pursuing and why. And this first word I put out last week and the the title came immediately to mind. It was sacred cows in strange fire. Uh, and this really came uh when I when I went to the Lord and this was the other morning. He really convicted me because uh I had to think I I’ve always said to myself and I think I’ve often said on my video channels

00:04:18
especially, I want to speak God’s words, not Wanda’s words. And the reason I say that is because I’ve I’m very aware of the gifts of God. I mean, God’s been good to me like he is to everybody. He gives us gifts. And so I’m aware of the gifts that he’s given me in terms of teaching, uh, presenting things, even you know, the words of wisdom, that kind of thing. It’s very easy to start operating out of those gifts and not operating out of his presence. And let me tell you, there’s a difference. And

00:04:48
he’s taught me that through the years. And that’s what I was thinking of the other morning as I was thinking about everything that was going on online, some of the things that are happening in the exposure space. You know, it’s like, Lord, what would you say, enemy? I immediately began to think of these things that I could say, but then I had to stop. And I’m I’m realizing, wait a minute, Lord, are these Wanda’s words or are these yours? And so, I just stopped and I just waited and listened. And I mean, I I really

00:05:17
felt the conviction of the Lord. And as I waited before him and I just asked, Lord, what do you see? This is where this word came from. Sacred cows and strange fire. So, I’m going to read this to you and give you some things to think about. And I’ I’d be very interested in your feedback as I’m reading this. You know, leave leave your comments below. We are in process. This is why I’m sharing this. I want you to be thinking, this is what revelation does. It causes causes you to hear maybe old things, but

00:05:45
in a new way. That’s what I’m hoping will happen. So, I start out, if God is cleaning his house, do we recognize the refuge he is taking out? That word actually refugees, I capitalized it. If God is separating the holy from the profane, do we recognize that which he refuses to allow on his altar? I mean, there was that word refuse and then I refuse. God, this is why God is doing this work is because there are things he’s saying, wait a minute, it has to change. Do we recognize the strange fires that have been offered in his

00:06:24
name? That’s a reference to a passage in Leviticus about unauthorized fires. And I’ll be talking about that in a minute. Are we warming our hands around a ring of fellowship that has been compromised by selfish ambition and pride? I knew in this word he was calling attention to where is our focus? Is our focus so much on individuals, on profits? Are we recognizing the things that need to go? Do we recognize what needs to stay? And then he said, “There are sacred cows in God’s house that have become idols of men. Idols that have

00:07:06
formed due to fascination with personalities and platforms. Idols that have gained prominence in his house by their flashy appearance and fleshly appeal. In our desperation to experience his glory, we have created gods of our own making. But do we recognize what we’ve been worshiping and fixing our gaze upon? Are we looking to the vessels instead of the maker? Are we defending men of flesh or the God who created them? And here the context is when he’s talking about idols, it’s so easy in this time of getting fixated on our

00:07:45
favorite minister, our favorite prophet. And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with having someone that you really appreciate and value and and you receive ministry from, okay? Because we all have them. But the Lord is highlighting there’s a point though where if it becomes so much of a fascination or where that individual now uh it’s like they can do no wrong. Wait a minute. And what are we pursuing? And this is going to be a common thread here as I continue. Now, this next paragraph, um, you’re going to understand why this

00:08:19
is here. Some declare, “Touch not my anointed.” But God says, “There shall be no other gods before me.” Do not mistake a mantle for his glory. Men have corrupted his glory and taken it unto themselves. Claiming to be above accountability, some would declare they are untouchable. Clinging to their gifts and calling attention to their notoriety, they appeal to our insatiable hunger for spiritual power. And yet they carry strange fire. They spew words that stir and entice but are void of God’s favor and blessing. Know the

00:09:02
difference. Now, this is this is packed right here. You know, we’ve seen this phrase thrown around, especially social media this last year. Touch not my anointed. I mean, that actually even started with President Trump. Now, I’m not going to go into an in-depth teaching on that. There’s other Bible teachers that are already doing that of the context and the meaning of that passage, touch not my anointed. Here’s how I view that phrase and what I feel like God is saying is that many times when I’ve heard when

00:09:32
I’ve seen that phrase, especially on social media posted, what it insinuates is don’t you dare question that individual. In other words, they’re untouchable. They’re beyond uh accountability because they’re anointed. That’s dangerous that anyone would ever be above accountability when when I would if I don’t think I’ve ever used that that phrase touch not my anointed as a defense. Now, I could see the way that it could be applied is perhaps when we recognize that someone is anointed of God for an assignment, for a mandate,

00:10:13
and we realize God’s hand and favor is on that individual. and then someone else would come along and try to discredit them and say, “No, they’re not anointed.” Well, wait a minute. If God’s anointed and chosen that individual, that’s God’s choice. I mean, a prime example would be because I’ve told I’ve said it before is President Trump. I I believe I’ve know I’ve always known he is on assignment of the Lord. God chose Donald Trump for what he’s doing. Doesn’t mean though that he’s above accountability.

00:10:45
No, he’s got flaws and failings, weaknesses. It’s simply that he does have an anointing of God. So this phrase touch my not touch not my anointed I believe is being wrongly misapplied. And if you ever see that on social media or someone using that as a defense, I would really pull back because what are they really saying? Don’t you dare question what they say. No, it it if you look at the whole of scripture, especially in terms of prophecy, we are told to test the words, weigh whatever is said, which by the

00:11:20
way, there is a difference between weighing a word and weighing the vessel. Judging a word and judging the prophet, those are two different things. We need to remember that. But this whole paragraph is talking about this claim to be above accountability. That’s the kind of attitude and spirit we need to be very wary of in these days because every everybody it needs to be accountable. Okay, regardless of how anointed one is. And then he said the knife that is cutting through his house is no respector of persons. God does not set

00:11:52
aside our favorites. He does not overlook compromise or spiritual corruption to salvage men’s reputations. nor will he allow his anointing to be weaponized by those who only seek the glory for themselves. He is a holy God and no one can touch his glory. No one is above his discipline or correction. And because of the buildup of dung in his pantry, the stench can no longer be tolerated. No prophet or apostle, teacher or pastor or any other leader in God’s house will escape his cleansing wrath. God is no respector of persons. We’ve

00:12:33
seen this in these exposures is that some of the favorite prophets, teachers, especially within the charismatic movement are are being exposed a as being immoral, uh, corrupted, uh, compromised. That’s a hard pill to swallow. And so God’s simply reminding us, listen, this is what the word of God does. It separates soul from spirit. it it’s going to judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart, everyone’s heart. And we simply have to acknowledge that none of us is beyond that. Uh and the the spirit here that I felt that he

00:13:07
was getting at, he said, “Nor will he allow his anointing to be weaponized by those who seek glory for themselves.” This is one of the charges that the Lord gave me back in 2012 when he really put the call on my life. And he said, “Whanda, do not touch the glory.” And this is part of the overarching theme of what he is doing is that any minister that that seeks to draw attention to themselves. Uh and it’s it’s a fine line. This can be a subjective issue. I realize that. But we cannot seek that glory, that attention,

00:13:44
the fame, the notoriety. We have to always point people to Jesus. And so this is what what he’s going after. No one is above that discipline or correction so that we can all be pure vessels unto the Lord. And then he says, “Not all are as complicit, but all must pass through the fire. All will be tested and tried to see what idols they have created and what kind of fire they carry. The fires of men may carry passion and zeal, but they will burn with contempt and ego. They will incite a man-c centered

00:14:20
vengeance that is void of humility or a fear of the Lord. For their fires do not ignite greater holiness or purity within God’s people. They only seek to draw attention to themselves in order to protect their domain. Now again, I’m wanting us to think beyond just an individual. We’re in a spiritual battle and especially if there is a corrupted individual and in this case a prophet or a teacher and if there’s corruption, if there’s compromise, see there are probably demonic spirits at work behind

00:14:54
the scenes speaking into their ear, influencing them, driving them, these are the things we need to pray that we can in the spirit discern those things and and and pray effectively because we We want anyone to be free. You know, some some of these leaders, they’re bound up themselves. I don’t believe that they want to be wicked, but they’ve got sin in their lives. They’ve got uh issues that they’ve not dealt with, and it’s it’s become an open door for the enemy. This is why we always need to pray for their

00:15:24
salvation, their deliverance. I mean, restoration to God, to their families, that kind of thing. We need the love of God in that regard. But he’s pointing to the spirits at work that we need to be mindful of. And this whole idea of fire in the Old Testament when it talks about strange fire in Leviticus I think it’s 10 verses 1-3 it’s talking about an unauthorized fire because in the Old Testament they would uh you know on the altar they would put fires as as sacrifices to the Lord but they would have to be at the

00:15:56
direction of the Lord. And if it was an unauthorized fire, you’re walking in the flesh that was not authorized by God. And especially as a prophetic voice, if we’re going to claim to speak the words of God, then we’d better be authorized by God to say them. I mean, this is what the prophets in the Old Testament were continually charged uh to to obey is to only speak that which God has told you. Those who are not doing that, there may be a fire on what they’re saying. But if it is being fueled by a

00:16:34
determination to defend themselves, to deflect uh charges that are coming against them, to point fingers to others, to gaslight, uh these kinds of that, okay, that could be a strange fire. You know, I was telling my husband the other day, especially online and on on videos, people love someone who has passion. We love someone that’s passionate about things. We have to be careful though because someone can be passionate about the wrong thing. Okay? It can it it might have fire on it, but I don’t want

00:17:07
it to be a strange fire. If there’s any kind of vengeance, if it if it does not ignite a greater holiness or purity within the body of Christ, okay, if it’s only a kind of fire that incites us to get back at somebody or to point blame on someone, we just need to be very careful. That’s why we need to pray that all of these things are are led by the love of God even in in how things come forward because see the fire of God is different. Those who carry the fire of God burn with a different fuel. They are

00:17:42
not stirred by self-p protection or even a need to be seen. They burn with a purity of heart that seeks the good of the father’s house above their own. Their zeal is not to defend the champions of men, but the holiness of God. They recognize the golden calves and refuse to bow. Their allegiance is to God alone. Now, I want you to catch this. When when the spirit of God is behind a voice, a messenger, if there’s a fire to it, it’s going to ignite a zeal for the love of God, for the presence of God, for

00:18:20
purity, for holiness, for absolute accountability, transparency. There’s going to be a spirit of humility that that it’s going to be like whatever, Lord, whatever I need to do to be right before you and to be right before mankind, I want to do that. There’s going to be a fire of God that there’s not going to be any fear of man. And I can tell you in speaking with and getting to know some of these YouTubers and and some of you who followed this channel, you’ve seen uh two videos that I’ve put out. Uh that is Zoom call with

00:18:50
some of these other YouTubers. Uh and and we’re processing, we’re praying, we’re talking about what God is doing. I can tell you in getting to know them behind the scenes. Now, not I can’t speak for all of them, but just several of them. This is the kind of fire that they’re being fueled by. A desire to see the holiness of God, a purity, integrity, righteousness. This is the right kind of fire. And and this recognizing the golden calves and refusing to bow. I believe this is the spirit that that those who I believe are called into

00:19:27
this space. I know that that’s their heart. Again, I’m not speaking for everybody. There’s a lot of there’s a lot of YouTubers out there and there are other voices that I don’t know. I have no relationship with. I I I don’t know them. Um, but I know I I recognize those that do have a call and they have a charge because they they want absolute integrity to the word of God to to God’s standard and and they so much want to walk in the fear of the Lord. They they don’t want to bow to anything uh less

00:19:58
than that. And that should be what all of our our hearts are. The last phrase that I have paragraph here is yes, the fires of God are sweeping through his house and many are feeling the burn. But the fires of men will only destroy our faith and lure us to lesser things. The fire of God will bring us to our knees in godly sorrow and humble repentance. Know the difference and let it burn. Yeah, we’re all feeling the burn, aren’t we? if you’re online at all, um you’re you’re seeing uh the discussions,

00:20:32
you’re seeing the online threads, and and it can be very divisive. And uh this is why I I’ve wanted to really guard my heart and wanting to bring us all up, okay? Because to see what God is doing, it’s messy. You know, when God is cleaning house, it’s a mess. And you know, it’s unfortunate that that there’s a lot of different people speaking into this and and trying to find their way. And I just know that even in in some individuals that I know that are being called out, okay? Uh some of whom I

00:21:08
know, you know, I I’ve had conversations and I welcome conversations. Most of them have been offline because God’s just given me a love for the body of Christ. And so many of of these who are being called out, it’s like, you know, it could have been prevented because I I think the majority of these men and women, uh, they’re not wicked at the core. Now, there’s some that they have been wolves all along, and I don’t mind citing Mike Bickl as one, uh, but there are many that there’s a lot of different

00:21:45
things going on. Value systems are different. um you know life histories and yes doctrines there’s so many variables but God even in all this he is wanting to bring all of us up higher and he’s looking for humble hearts in the end that that’s a a good gauge to go by who is willing to simply say Lord search my heart and and I will do whatever I need to to make things right with with those that I have hurt those that I offended whatever teaching I need to upgrade whatever doctrines that I need to change. Lord, show me. I mean, that

00:22:25
should be the heart of any godly leader. And this is what’s being tested. And it’s being tested for those of you who watch and those who interact. You’re being tested as well. How are you responding? You know, are are you trying to defend your heroes of faith saying they can’t? No, they can’t be that way because I’ve followed them for so long. Well, how many people said that about my pickle? I mean, it it should cause the fear of the Lord in all of us. So, all of us are having to evaluate, you know,

00:22:55
what what we’re looking at, who we’re following, how we are operating in the gifts of the spirit ourselves. Now, before I read this second word that I just released today, I want to take you because in terms of, okay, if we’re going through upgrades, we want to understand the prophetic ministry better prophets. I want to take you to wandal.me me because it’s more than a website. Uh, you know, I I love to resource the body of Christ. That’s that’s part of the charge that I’ve always had is to equip uh the saints for

00:23:25
the work of ministry. Okay? I want to equip you. And yes, I have things that I sell because I’m an author. I’m a writer. And so I I I sell books and study guides and and teaching materials. But on my website, there’s a lot of helps that are going to help you. And as a matter of fact, several of my intercessors have said, “Whanda, you need to let people know about your your library. It’s it’s massive. It’s it’s so good.” So, I want to take you uh first of all to my uh resource page. If you go on uh you’ll see this tab, resources,

00:23:55
and it’s going to take you to this page here. All these PDF prayer guides, topical studies, which I’m going to take you to in a minute. Right down here is helpful links to awaken the sleeping. I started this after the 2020 election. lot of stuff here of research videos, articles, PDFs that that would just be very interesting. But in these topical studies, if you click on any one of these, dream interpretation, Freemasonry, gifts of the spirit, they take you to another whole uh topical library, prophetic ministry. This is

00:24:27
what I wanted you to see. Prophetic ministry, I’ve got articles here ever since I started my website, which is over 10 years ago. I mean, there’s hundreds of articles uh and resources on this website. This is all pertaining to prophetic ministry. As a matter of fact, uh some of these articles here, 10 considerations for better prophetic accuracy. Um a word to the prophets. If I click here, I go on to the next one. Uh rightly dividing the false from the controversial. Uh very interesting article here where I’m I’m addressing,

00:24:59
okay, is there a difference between being a false prophet or just a controversial prophet? Same thing, recognizing false prophets and false teachers, what to do about it. Uh, numerous articles here. Then there’s PDF downloads, 10 considerations. This is uh for better prophetic accuracy. This is an easy PDF download you can copy, share with your prayer group, healthy five-fold ministry and the local church, recognizing false messengers, what to do about it. Again, I’m giving you my teaching outline. Uh, then the products,

00:25:28
the of course my prophetic training course, and then here’s all the videos. Ever since starting my video channel back in 2021, all the videos here that had to do with prophetic ministry, you can find them on here. And then recommended reading. Okay. So, this is just on prophetic ministry alone. Okay. Now, in terms of uh my blogs, this next word I’m going to share with you, pursuing his presence more than his prophets. Uh here’s here’s the blog. If you go to the blog page, you’re going to see all of my written words uh that I

00:25:58
put out there. And then uh my homepage and this is where you can subscribe to wandal algger.me uh you’ll get it right here. Basically when you uh subscribe anytime that I put out a a new word you’ll get a notification in your inbox that I’ve posted a new word. Then the only other thing you’re going to get is my latest updates and that’s maybe once a week. You know everyone has their favorite platform. Those of you who are here on YouTube or Rumble, you may never go to Facebook. You may never go to X.

00:26:27
Okay. Well, I post on on a lot of different platforms and I often post different things on different platforms. So, in my latest updates, I give you everything, okay? So, you can kind of get the fuller picture because if you’re only if you only follow me on Facebook, there’s things that I post and that I talk about on the X platform that I don’t address on Facebook. And so if you really want to get a fuller picture of what I’m putting out, if it’s meaningful to you, then when you subscribe, you’re

00:26:56
going to get that latest updates and I put it all uh there for you to kind of look at. And I give you special offers and resources uh different things just for subscribers. So that’s just a little incentive. And for new subscribers, uh you get an uh 20% uh coupon 20% off coupon code for my bookstore. So all the stuff that I’ve uh put out through the years as resources, you get 20% off everything. So uh it is there for you. All right. Now, this next word that I want to share, pursuing his presence

00:27:30
more than his prophets. This is just a good strong admonition that I want to share because this has to do with who we are as a prophetic people. I I’ve often said this, it’s not about being a prophet, okay? That shouldn’t be the goal. Uh God has something higher. So, let me just read this and I’m going to give a verse. 1 Corinthians 2:10. These things God has revealed to us through the spirit. For the spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. You know, what is God’s goal in all this? Especially in terms of the

00:28:04
prophetic. Why is it that prophetic ministry always comes under such scrutiny? Why do prophetic voices gain so much attention and cause such a stir? And what is it about prophecy that causes such controversy on the one hand and yet such hunger on the other? Well, I believe that one of the primary reasons is that true prophecy opens the door to the unseen realm. Pure prophetic operation reveals a supernatural God and realities not otherwise experienced or known to our flesh. It is a reminder that there are

00:28:41
mysteries and heavenly revelations accessible to mankind. A tangible demonstration that we can hear God’s voice and yes know God’s heart. And though most of our understanding of prophecy comes from the New Testament, I find an interesting statement from Moses in the Old Testament that kind of foreshadows and points to a core value of the prophetic. Now, I was looking at this the other day again when I was I was coming before the Lord and okay, give me the bigger picture. What are you wanting us to get

00:29:12
a hold of and and I found this little story in the Old Testament and it really struck me. This is in Numbers 11:24-29 and I I’ll read you the context. Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord. This is when the Lord had instructed Moses, listen, you need some help here in judging the people. you need to raise up like, you know, other leaders to do what you’re doing. So that’s what he did. He gathered 70 men of the elders of the people, placed them around the town, and the Lord came down in the cloud and

00:29:46
spoke to him and took some of the spirit that was on Moses and put it on the 70 elders. And as soon as the spirit rested on them, they prophesied. They didn’t continue doing it. Now, two men had remained in the camp. Uh, one named El Dad and the other named Midad. And the spirit rested on them. They were among those registers, but they had not gone out to the tent. And so, they prophesied in the camp. And a young man ran out and told Moses, “Elad and me, Dad are prophesying in the camp.” And Joshua, Moses’s assistant,

00:30:25
said, “Oh my lord, Moses, stop them. You know, how can they be pro? They they didn’t come to the meeting and yet they got the spirit of God on them. That’s not fair. But here’s what Moses said. This is what struck me. Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets that the Lord would put his spirit on them?” Well, Moses knew the true value of prophecy. He knew the reason for its potency. And it wasn’t just to speak for God. Prophecy was the result of being

00:31:02
overshadowed, overwhelmed, and empowered by the spirit of a holy God. It was being so covered by his presence, one could not help but speak. And interestingly, this was the very same admonition that the Apostle Paul gave in 1 Corinthians 14:5 when he said, “I wish you would all prophesy.” In both the old and new covenants, the core essence of prophecy is to be under the influence and direction of the Holy Spirit. It’s to be motivated and prompted by the only spirit who is holy, pure, and true. Very interesting correlation here.

00:31:44
Now understand the Greek word for prophecy. What does that mean? It means to speak forth by divine inspiration. To utter forth a thing which can only be known by divine revelation. To break forth under sudden impulse in lofty discourse or praise of the divine councelss. We’re talking about getting in touch with revelations, mysteries, truths in the spiritual realm. It opens this door. It unlocks this realm to us. To prophesy means to speak out of an overflow of God’s presence to reveal and declare the wonder and awe of his

00:32:26
presence. And both Moses and Paul are reminding us it’s not just for prophets but for everyone. When it is it is what will come to any believer who spends time with the Lord and leans on his chest. When we are overshadowed by the spirit of God, we are given access to God’s heart, God’s will, and God’s word. This is the prophetic potential available to all. Oh, that everyone would be so overshadowed by God’s spirit that we could not help but declare it. And this, I believe, is why the enemy works so hard to defile, destroy, and

00:33:08
discredit this manifestation of the spirit. Because if the people of God actually embraced it and stewarded it correctly, we would become a people so filled with his presence and power, every work of darkness would come to knot. The gift of prophecy is not merely spouting God’s words or giving spiritual readings. It’s about knowing our God so deeply and intimately. We speak from the overflow. It’s about a face-to-face relationship that results in supernatural presence and power. If every believer fully engaged in their

00:33:47
prophetic potential, just think of how God’s light and truth would shatter the lies and overcome the strongholds that chain us. I believe this is why we have to contend for prophetic ministry because it’s not about pursuing the prophets of God, but the presence of God. He desires for us to be a prophetic people who have spent such time with him. We can’t help but overflow with his heart, his will, and his words. It is his spirit alone that gives birth to the prophetic, and anything else will only be a corrupted

00:34:23
counterfeit of the flesh. The spirit of God that rested on Moses was not due to his personal ambitions as a prophet or any need for special recognition. It was his own desperation of soul and his hunger for God that drew him to this secret place of worship. As a result, he became a carrier of God’s glory and led God’s people into freedom. May we become a prophetic people that carry this glory. Not because we prophesy well, but because we’ve been in the presence of a holy and powerful God. I’m hoping that this gives a

00:35:05
different perspective on prophetic ministry. It’s not about prophecy or prophets. It is the result of being in the presence of God. And this is no different than any other gift of the spirit. A gift of the spirit, it is by the spirit. and they will grow and bear fruit out of our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Now, we can get into the flesh and as I said at the very beginning of this video, it it would be very easy just to operate out of that gift. And I think that’s where any of these, I mean,

00:35:41
it could be prophecy, it could be words of knowledge, it could be healing. When we begin to presume upon God, presume upon our ability to use God’s gift for our intentions, for our gain, our ministry or platform. That’s where it goes south. That’s where it becomes idolatry. And that’s where it becomes strange fire. The only way the gifts of God are going to reflect the glory of God is if we place our own glory on the altar. We have to humbly come before the Lord and always seek his heart, his face

00:36:19
first and foremost. This is a call to the people of God, not just the prophets. I mean, unfortunately, in in in many of these cases, yes, God’s looking at the leaders because leaders, we set precedents. We model, you know, to to the people what could be, what should be. And God’s saying, “Wait a minute. We need some major upgrades. We’ve got to clean out the closet here for the good of the body, for the sake of the bride, because God does want his glory to be revealed. That’s the only thing that’s going to break the

00:36:54
yoke. That’s only going to that that’s the only thing that’s going to really bring us freedom and deliverance from ourselves. So even in this time of testing and in this time where a lot is happening, I want to encourage you stay in the word and stay in God’s presence because that’s how you’re going to best know even how to respond to all that’s happening. Especially if you’re online a lot, know what the real thing is. And then the more that you are in his presence, know his heart, know his word,

00:37:28
that’s going to be the anchor then that you’ll know how to respond in a way that you know God has called you to respond. Everyone has a different role here. Everyone has a different voice. And I know that many are just called to pray and we need to be praying for this time. My own prayer is that especially as a prophetic voice that I can always come before the Lord. It’s why I made a previous video, you know, in just re-evaluating uh my own voice and what I’ve put out because I I never want to get to the

00:38:00
point where I feel like I’ve arrived. I I love to learn and this is a time where we’re coming together and learning to do this together, too, collectively. So, I would love to hear what your thoughts are and what your questions are about the prophetic uh and about prophets and and I purposely did not name any names because if we’re going back to the standard, the place to start is what does God’s word say first and foremost? What is God’s heart? Because if we jump too quickly to the names, then it becomes a popularity contest and

00:38:35
we’re totally missing the lesson. So, that’s why I want to start with this. I’m not afraid of, you know, naming names if if that’s what the Lord instructs me to do. But if we don’t understand, first of all, what God’s heart, his will, and his ways are, that that’s the way to be impartial. That’s the wisdom of God is that we have to be impartial and and knowing what what God’s standard is because we all then we want to live up to this. We’re not perfect. And and again, that’s that’s the key is we come humbly before the

00:39:06
Lord, and when we do miss it, we acknowledge it, we learn from it, we grow from it, and we give grace to one another. So, I hope that this has been helpful and encouraging to you.
