Interview With the Antichrist: A Novel of Biblical Prophecy

By Nancy Flory Published on March 6, 2020

It isn’t a “feel good” story. There are no Christian heroes to root for. The world comes to an end and evil reigns. But it can make you feel better anyway.

Best-selling author Jeff Kinley’s newest book, Interview with the Antichrist, isn’t just a run-of-the-mill Christian novel — because it’s based entirely on end-times biblical prophecy. It tells the story of the rise of the antichrist to power.

Lots of people are asking about the end times as the world becomes more uncertain. “There’s a lot of confusion about the antichrist. Some fear out there, some anxiety,” Jeff told The Stream. “The Coronavirus is out there. And the threat of war in the Middle East. And what’s going to happen in the election really changes the course of history in Western civilization. So all these things are kind of happening. People are asking questions.”

Building a Bridge

Interview with the Antichrist follows a journalist named Julien who has been chosen by the president of the fictitious European Alliance of Nations to record the president’s rise to global power. Following his inauguration, the president begins to fulfill the book of Revelation’s prophecy about the antichrist.

In addition to authoring over 30 books, Jeff has appeared as a guest on Fox & Friends, The Glenn Beck Show, The Ben Shapiro Show and other national radio and television programs. In 2000, Jeff founded Main Thing Ministries to “equip and inspire Christians to become life-long followers of Jesus Christ.” The former pastor of nearly 30 years decided to write Interview with the Antichrist to clear up some confusion about the end times. He also wanted the book to serve as a “bridge builder” — a narrative — to draw people into the topic of last days prophecy.

It’s important for people to know biblical prophecy, because knowing what God says will happen in the last days can calm fears. “I think it gives us confidence that God will eventually triumph over evil, over the worst of mankind. We need to know that God is still in control,” Jeff explains.

It also “helps us to recognize the spirit of antichrist that is working right now.” When we understand what is happening based on biblical prophecy, “we can live with boldness and competence right now.” Christians should not fear the end times. “Prophecy never breeds fear. It only builds faith.”

Based on Revelation

Jeff bases his story on the book of Revelation and includes verses to support his ideas in a section within his book titled “Meet the Antichrist.” He explains 30 Bible verses about the antichrist and what people can expect. He adds a section on how someone can become a Christian, along with a sinner’s prayer. “The worst thing you can do is to know about these events with the times and then not do anything about preventing yourself from experiencing them.”

“This [book] provides an opportunity to point people to Jesus Christ as the ark of before the great flood of God’s judgment comes.”
