Red Crayons That Identify as Blue: The Latest in the Radical Indoctrination of Public Schools

Conservative and Christian parents must remain vigilant about their children's public school education.

Sixth graders quizzed on what they’d do if asked to go to a gay bar, high schoolers forced to write the Islamic creed “There is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his prophet,” first graders forced to read about a red crayon that self-identifies as blue: The push of radical ideology onto our public school children continues. These latest examples shock, but don’t surprise.

The Invitation to a Gay Bar

Students at a Florida middle school recently brought home a disturbing survey, reported The Blaze. A teacher asked her students to answer questions about how they would feel in different situations. The only problem? They were questions designed to to indoctrinate the children in liberal views.

Sixth graders quizzed on what they’d do if asked to go to a gay bar, high schoolers forced to write the Islamic ‘Shahada’ creed, first graders forced to read about a red crayon that self-identifies as blue. The push of radical ideology onto our public school children continues.

One question asked how the sixth-graders would feel if they were asked to a gay bar. Or if they went to a gay bar and someone of the same sex asked them to dance, if they saw their brother kiss a boy, or if two women down the hall (in a dorm) were lesbians.

Others were designed to detect racism. Students were asked how they would feel if they lived in a black neighborhood. Or how they would feel if they saw black men approaching them on the street.

Even the kids knew something was wrong. One sixth-grader named Tori told WFTS-TV that she felt the questions on the survey were “very inappropriate.” “I thought some of them were racist, I thought some of them were sexist, I thought it was completely intolerable.”

At some point, the teacher realized what she did. When kids asked if they could take the survey home to mom or dad, the teacher seemed to panic, said Tori. “She was going, ‘No, don’t show your mom, don’t take that home. I’m taking it back up.’” The survey came from a book titled Exploring White Privilege by Robert P. Amico.

This is not an isolated event. Schools nationwide thrust the liberal agenda on their students. Here are three more examples.

Islamic Creeds, Boys in Dresses

At least one lawsuit arose over a Maryland high school’s telling students to write out the Islamic creed, the Shahada, and recite the Five Pillars of Islam. According to The Free Beacon, students “were subjected to disparaging teachings about Christianity.” They were taught Christianity for one day but Islam for two weeks. So not only were the Christian students’ religion demeaned, but they had to memorize another religion’s tenets in opposition to their own.

Last year the Obama administration threatened to pull funding from schools that did not let transgendered students use the bathroom they wanted. More than one school buckled under the pressure.

A first-grade book called Jacob’s New Dress was in every first-grade classroom in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. After outrage from state legislators, the schools pulled the book. They replaced it with Red: A Crayon’s Story about a red crayon that self-identifies as blue. The Charlotte Observer reported that the school board is getting ready to add sexual orientation and “Gender identity/Expression” to its multiculturalism policy.

The Need for Vigilance

The drive to force radical ideas onto our children is alive and well in the classroom. Even at the first-grade level. “The purpose of our elementary schools is to teach writing, reading and arithmetic, not to encourage boys to wear dresses,” said Tami Fitzgerald of the North Carolina Values Coalition.

Thomas More Law Center’s President Richard Thompson urged parents to “be ever vigilant to the Islamic indoctrination of their children under the guise of teaching history and multiculturalism. This is happening in public schools across the country.”

Conservative and Christian parents must watch like hawks the education their children receive, especially if they go to public school. Too many schools in too many places want to feed our children information hostile to conservative or Christian values.

Update: The Florida middle school teacher, Daryl Cox, was fired for administering the survey. Hernando County School District stated on their website that “In no way, did this assignment meet the standards of appropriate instructional material. After being made aware of the assignment, school administration began an investigation and has taken immediate disciplinary action. This teacher was within her probationary period and has been released from employment.”

Wow…. when I read the headline about the red crayon, I honestly thought it was satire. I had almost begun to think that nothing could shock me anymore…

Lawsuits. Denial of funding. Firings. Those are the things that get the attention of the devils that are teaching and administering the schools. Speak to them in terms they will easily understand. They all have to do with MONEY!

What kind of nation normalizes sexual perversion and sexual confusion? A nation headed for ruin. For whatever is sown, that which is reaped.

    • CWF

A nation that destroys the family through its perverted view of natural law.

    I’m stunned. I didn’t know I could be anymore.

I’m trying to imagine this scenario: “One question asked how the sixth-graders would feel if they were asked
to a bar. Or if they went to a bar and someone asked them to dance.”

Take away the issue of sexual orientation and the question is still wildly off-base anyway. The question was twisted, on any possible analysis. No one could possibly deny it — not even if they were pro-gay.

How could the teacher not have seen it? I fear there’s no possible answer except that the question originated from a morally distorted place and was intended for distorted purposes; and that same distortion marred the teacher’s vision so badly he couldn’t see it for what it was.

The teacher knew, that’s why she wouldn’t let the child to take it home and show her mother and father. All these child abusers know exactly what it takes to win their corruption of our society. They know you must first steal the children. They quit trying to even make a pretense of hiding it once Obama gained power and now they think it’s too late for us to take our children back. I pray they are wrong, but it’s going to take the hand of God to turn this tide. Christians better get ready for battle and saddle up.

      Grooming.

I feel that we have to bring in all of the biblical world view to explain things like this. Anything that oppose Jesus has its roots where? With a demon. We are seeing more and more people who ‘flow’ with demonic influence.

I think the only reason people are shocked is because there is no mention of California. Fools think they are safe from this in their less liberal states. Wake up people. The libs want the minds of your kids, and in many cases they already have what they want and you’re too busy, complacent, ignorant or stupid to notice.

The public school system has indoctrinated children year over year for decades. It is the one thing that the government is successful at doing. Those pushing this agenda have their children in elite private schools. Those promoting public education want an uneducated populace that they can control. The few who escape the indoctrination are fortunate. We are witnessing a morally bankrupt uneducated populace that is dictating the direction of the country. I am sure it will get much worse.

It does get worse…..when they leave home and go to an even more liberal higher ed. institution.

  • Dean Bruckner

    Sounds like pedos grooming children.

    • Timothy Horton

Sounds like you’re speaking from experience.

  • Kevin Quillen

All Christians must withdraw their kids from public school. Period. Sacrifice whatever necessary to do it. We must withdraw from our Godless governments. Obey God’s law only. This country is DONE! Allow it to crash and burn.

I wonder what that teacher would do if she was sued for all she is worth for child abuse.
