The Brew: Democrat Lawmakers Admit Their Constituents Are Boiling with Rage. ‘There Needs to Be Blood.’

By John Zmirak Published on July 9, 2025

Ideas have consequences. Rhetoric infused with Marxist, post-colonial hatred of America and the West drives unhinged, godless radicals to acts of real-world violence. Remember all the talk since the George Floyd freakout in 2020 about “abolishing whiteness”? How about the bloodthirsty calls to form a “Resistance” against the Trump administration, as if it were the Nazi occupation of France during World War II? Did the NPR listeners in the suburbs really think none of those incendiary words would start a fire?

The fire is raging. Yesterday we reported on an ambush of U.S. Border Patrol agents near McAllen, Texas, on July 4. Now it appears the attack was planned and executed by an organized terrorist cell.

That Texas attack isn’t a one-off or outlier event, left-wing Axios reports. That outlet interviewed several members of Congress, who said their constituents are boiling over with rage. Here’s just a sampling of what those lawmakers reported:

House Democrats told Axios they see a growing anger among their base that has, in some cases, morphed into a disregard for American institutions, political traditions and even the rule of law.

“This idea that we’re going to save every norm and that we’re not going to play [Republicans’] game … I don’t think that’s resonating with voters anymore,” said one House Democrat.

Another told Axios that a “sense of fear and despair and anger” among voters “puts us in a different position where … we can’t keep following norms of decorum.” …

The grassroots wants more. “Some of them have suggested … what we really need to do is be willing to get shot” when visiting ICE facilities or federal agencies, a third House Democrat told Axios.

“Our own base is telling us that what we’re doing is not good enough … [that] there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public,” the lawmaker said.

A fourth House Democrat said constituents have told them “civility isn’t working” and to prepare for “violence … to fight to protect our democracy.”

The Deep State Is Still Our Biggest Threat

Whether it’s the enigma that is the Jeffrey Epstein story or the mystery surrounding two attempted assassinations of Donald Trump, there’s plenty of reason to be concerned about an intelligence community that George W. Bush rashly empowered via the Patriot Act and Barack Obama politicized into a Stasi-style secret police. However well-intentioned Trump appointees such as Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Pam Bondi may be, they haven’t made much progress in cleaning the Deep State out.

It remains dark and dangerous, arguably more of a threat than the foreign adversaries and cartels it’s meant to fight. The president needs to give us reason to hope that he’s acting decisively against this parallel government — which actively tried to destroy his first term in office. Maybe it’s time to hire back General Mike Flynn, whom the Deep State feared so much that it tried to railroad him into prison. Flynn is on fire right now about the emerging evidence that Russiagate was an intelligence operation from start to finish.

For a detailed analysis of just how corrupt the Russiagate investigation really was, see Margot Cleveland’s work over at The Federalist.

Vance: New York’s Marxist Frontrunner for Mayor Is an Anti-American Ingrate

Aren’t you just the least bit sick of people immigrating here illegally, thriving in our tolerant and generous society, and then spitting in our faces? Vice President J.D. Vance certainly is.

Married to a Hindu daughter of immigrants, he’s hardly a nativist. But Vance speaks for every citizen who’s grateful for our founders and our freedoms when he calls out the likes of Zohran Kwame Mamdani, a hardcore Marxist who seems likely to get elected mayor of our nation’s greatest city. Listen to Vance rebuke Mamdani here:

Mamdani’s resentment and rage keep poking out from behind his smile, as Gateway Pundit reports:

The hits just keep coming for New York City communist and Democrat mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Just days ago, he outraged the Jewish community over an offensive video he made satirizing Hanukkah. Now he has enraged the Italian American community in New York with a tweet of himself flipping the bird to a Christopher Columbus statue with a caption that reads: Take it down.

Mamdani’s policy proposals would destroy the city, but his talent for offending certain voter groups may prove to be his ultimate downfall.

IRS Finally Lifts LBJ’s Gag Order on Churches

The “Johnson Amendment,” an IRS rule enacted in 1954 that threatened churches with loss of their tax-exempt status if they endorsed political candidates or legislation, has finally been lifted. Sure, it was routinely flouted by inner-city churches friendly to Democrats, but that rule did serve to silence conservative pastors for decades. Now it is gone — a 2016 campaign promise Trump made, now thankfully kept.

New Superman Movie Is a Woke Immigration Fable, Director Insists

In case you were wondering if the reboot of the Superman franchise will be a woke, didactic exercise in reeducating its viewers — just like Disney’s catastrophic Snow White — you have your answer. Or at least you have the opinion of the fellow who directed it. He went public to announce his agenda, and Variety magazine did us the favor of reporting it.

Stay home, accordingly.

Later this morning, read about how the U.S. Catholic bishops — who collected some $3 billion from the federal government for “serving migrants” in just 15 years — are mobilizing to undermine President Trump’s enforcement of our immigration laws.
