Christians Engaged, a nonprofit organization that encourages Christians to pray, vote and engage in nonpartisan political activism or education, will host a conference on November 5 and 6 this year. The Stream’s founder, James Robison, will be the featured headliner and will speak on Saturday, November 6. The event, called “Wake Up!” conference, will take place at Granville Arts Center in Garland, Texas.

Several other Christian and political leaders will speak: Gov. Rick Perry, Allie Beth Stuckey, Congressman Michael Cloud, Bunni Pounds, Corey Russell, June Hunt, Rep. Matt Krause, Kevin Freeman, Rep. Matt Schaefer, Kyle Martin and Trayce Bradford, among others.

Christians Engaged founder and president, Bunni Pounds, said, “We’re so thrilled that these voices are going to converge across denominational lines.” She added that the speakers will inspire people and that our republic is worth saving.

“This conference is not about politics,” Bunni’s website states. “This is a call for every Christian to rise up and be salt and light in our cities, state, and nation.”

In preparation for the event, Bunni recorded a short video explaining about each speaker and why she invited them to come. James Robison’s video was released first. “James Robison gave me back my dad,” she said. “He set the foundation of our family and changed the trajectory of my life forever.”
