‘Bama Football Players Pray With President Trump After NCAA Championship Win Celebration
On Tuesday, President Trump hosted the Alabama’s Crimson Tide football team to commemorate their NCAA National Championship win. After the president’s speech, the Alabama football players asked a question: Could they pray for him?
President Trump said, “Yes.”
Video of the event shows the men bowing their heads and placing their hands on the president.

President Trump also tweeted about his meeting with the players. “Today, it was my great honor to welcome the 2017 NCAA Football National Champion, Alabama Crimson Tide – to the White House. Congratulations!”
Earlier, he had welcomed the national champions. “Each of you here today is here because of your grit your drive your dedication and your incredible teamwork,” he said. “Over the last several decades, America has learned that Alabama football knows how to win and how to keep winning … they just keep winning. It also takes a great coach and a great athletic director. …Roll Tide!”

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted that although she wasn’t an Alabama fan, she was a fan of the prayer. “As a proud Arkansan, I’m not an Alabama football fan, but I was a big fan of this prayer for @POTUS. #SEC Always #WPS @ArkRazorbacks.”
