Accused Planned Parenthood Shooter: I Hope Unborn Kids in Heaven Thank Me

By Dustin Siggins Published on April 12, 2016

A man accused of killing three at a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic told police he hopes “aborted fetuses” would thank him “at the gates of [H]eaven,” according to court documents released on Monday.

The documents show that Robert Dear also considered Paul Hill a hero. Hill killed abortionist Dr. John Britton and the abortionist’s bodyguard, James Barrett, in 1994, and was put to death in 2003.

In November, Dear was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder after allegedly opening fire at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs. Declaring himself

to be “a warrior for the babies,” Dear has said he wanted to stop Planned Parenthood  killing unborn children and from harvesting their body parts.

While abortion activists have declared Dear to be Exhibit A of pro-life violence, commentators across the political spectrum, as well as his lawyer, say Dear’s past and some of his court statements indicate he is not mentally stable. The results of a court-ordered mental evaluation are expected to be released later this month.
