Standing Up for One’s Broken Marriage

The latest Dr. J Show guest is Dr. Christine Bacon, international speaker, relationship coach, and radio host of Breakfast with Bacon: The Relationship Doctor. She is also the author of The Super Couple: A Formula for Extreme Happiness in Marriage.

Dr. Bacon is passionate about teaching others about Standing and leading her Standers’ group — separated faithful standing on their marriage vows despite their spouse leaving them. Her group includes men and women, Catholics and Protestants, from over 30 states and nine nations. Since many of her group reconcile rather than divorce, her mission is to save a million marriages before she dies.

Hear Dr. Bacon talk about people coming to her for help getting their spouse back. She leads them toward surrendering to their new circumstances. Often when people let go, frequently through finding God, they discover peace, and, many times, reconciliation with their spouse as well.

“In a society that says cut and run, get out, go be happy, Standers are those saying, ‘It’s not about my happiness, it’s about my holiness,” Dr. Bacon explains. “It’s a tough vocation, [but Standers learn to say], ‘I can’t make my spouse come back, but how can I change me?’”

Also, hear Dr. Morse and Dr. Bacon discuss how feminism has ruined many marriages, as well as the wide-ranging effects of divorce. “Divorce is like putting your cross down and forcing your children to pick it up,” Dr. Bacon says.

Ruth Inst. Congratulates Utah for Protecting Women’s Sports

Late last week, Utah joined a growing list of states protecting women’s sports by assuring that only women will compete against women. A two-thirds majority of both legislative houses voted to override the governor’s veto of a bill that bans a male student from competing on a female team.

It took less than 30 minutes to pass the override.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., congratulated the legislature for “choosing common sense and biology over gender ideology.”

Morse observed: “Opponents of this and similar laws are attacking the measures as ‘discriminatory.’ What’s discriminatory is forcing women to compete against male athletes who claim to be women.”

“Due to the differences in strength and endurance, male athletes have a distinct advantage. That’s why the University of Pennsylvania swimmer who calls himself Lia Thomas was at best mediocre when he competed against males. But on the women’s team, Thomas broke records left and right.”

“’Transgenderism’ is the next logical step in the Sexual Revolution, which is based on intimidation and fraud. If you can get people to say a man is a woman, you can get them to say almost anything, no matter how absurd.”

“In place of ‘mother,’ we now have ‘birthing person.’ OB/GYNs now must deny the humanity of the unborn by designating a baby an ‘embryo’ or ‘fetus.’

“Self-described ‘progressives’ demand we ‘follow the science,’ but science tells us an individual born a man will remain one until he dies, regardless of his preferred pronouns or how he alters his body. There is nothing ‘progressive’ about this science denial.”

Surrogacy and the Death of Secular Conservatism

When “conservative” celebrity David Rubin and his so-called partner announced they will have two babies using donated eggs and surrogate mothers, other prominent “conservatives” fell all over themselves congratulating him.

Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., observed: “These two children that Rubin has ordered have every right to exist. No matter what the parents may have done or not done, we must never regret the existence of any child.”

However, she added: “Let us be clear that these ‘parents’ have done something egregious. The two men who will have legal parenting rights have purchased genetic material from one, possibly two, different women. One or possibly two women sold her eggs, meaning, her potential children. Yet another pair of women have agreed to rent their wombs for nine months to gestate children they will surrender at birth.”

“All of these women, genetic and gestational, promise to have no relationship with their children. The children have not one, but two mothers, a gestational mother and a genetic mother, who have been erased from their lives forever.”

“This brings me to the ultimate travesty of the ‘conservatives’ who rush to congratulate Rubin on his acquisitions. To these conservatives, I say: ‘You assume that the bonding between the child and the gestational mother will never matter to the child in any way. You vainly hope that this child will not be bothered by the loss of a connection with his or her mother.’”

“This is not a ‘conservative’ stand. It is not even a rational stand. ‘I did it because I wanted to’ is not a rational reason for anything. It is simply a statement of willfulness.”

Morse urged: “If a child doesn’t have a right to a relationship with his or her own parents, no one has a right to anything. What remains to conserve, once you’ve stripped away the most basic birthright of a human being?”

“The family is founded on the Biblical worldview and natural law. Surrogacy is based on a manipulation of science. Religious conservatives understand this. That’s why we fight so hard for the right to life, for parental rights, and for family integrity.”

“Surrogacy says children may be purchased, like any other commodity. This is not a conservative value. The free market was intended to apply to commodities, never to people.”

“Non-religious conservativism is dead,” Morse said. “When the history of this era is written, people will look back and marvel at how crazy we became, how filled with hubris and stubbornly self-indulgent we were. And those historians of the future will realize: Only people of faith had the sense to see that this was wrong, and the courage to stand against it.”

Trans Suicide Threats = Blackmail

Jane Robbins is an attorney and retired senior fellow with the American Principles Project in Washington, D.C. At APP, she worked on education, parental rights, and religious freedom, and testified about these issues before Congress and the legislatures of 12 states. Since retiring, she has focused on the sexualization of children within schools, healthcare and the culture at large.

In this video from last year’s Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution, Robbins spoke on how the transgender movement uses the threat of suicide as blackmail to force parents into going along with their child’s transgenderism.

“There is no evidence that transgenderism elevates the risk of suicide more than other mental disorders do,” Robbins said. “If a child has talked about or attempted suicide, that child needs to be in therapy immediately, but not a therapist affiliated with or influenced by a gender clinic.” She recommends Alliance for Therapeutic Choice to find good therapists, who will help children rather than simply affirm them.

A study by the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention stating that 41% of gender-dysphoric people attempt suicide was clearly skewed, Robbins points out. Studies from Norway and Sweden show that even after an individual undergoes transgender surgery, they still have elevated rates of suicide that are, in fact, 19x that of the general population.

Learn about other popular studies that, if looked at properly, often disprove what the study purports to find. Biased research is rampant, Robbins states. Find out why by watching this video.
