In the wake of his incendiary comments on illegal immigrants, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump visited the U.S.-Mexico border Friday to draw attention to his stance on immigration.

But where do the rest of the candidates stand?

By 2060 the Census Bureau estimates nearly one in five U.S. residents will be foreign-born, and the flood of illegal immigrants is likely to be a major campaign issue in 2016.

There are an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants currently in the country, with more coming in every day causing legal, political and budgetary implications for border states and the federal government.
