Tony Evans on Correcting America’s Course

If God is your problem, only God is your solution — and the answer will not arrive on Air Force One.

In an interview with Stream founder and publisher James Robison and his wife, Betty, Dallas TX pastor and author Tony Evans says what he believes it will take to bring America back from the brink. Citing an example of the utter chaos that occurred within Jewish society when that nation turned its back on God, Evans issues a stern warning. “If God is your problem, only God is your solution — and that solution will not arrive on Air Force One.”

In a second clip, Evans and Robison discuss the need for Christians to gather in “solemn assemblies,” and to pray and repent. One such assembly is being planned in Dallas for September 2016. They discuss that gathering in the larger context of achieving unity through prayer and repentance.

Evans has been closely associated with national revival movements over many years, particularly with the Promise Keepers movement in the 1990s and racial reconciliation initiatives in recent years. He also serves as chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. The full interview is scheduled to air later in the year on Life Today.
