The Brew: As the Swamp Bubbles

By Al Perrotta Published on January 5, 2023

Washington, D.C., has all the drama — both silly and serious — of a daytime serial. Welcome to today’s episode of the soap opera As the Swamp Bubbles. Today’s scenes play out at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Mother of Hunter’s Love Child Sues to Change Baby’s Name to ‘Biden’

The mother of Hunter Biden’s love child filed a motion in Arkansas court last week to legally change their four-year-old daughter Navy’s last name to “Biden.” Lunden Alexis Roberts says little Navy would “benefit from carrying the Biden family name” because it is “now synonymous with being well educated, successful, financially acute, and politically powerful,” the New York Post reported.

Well, it does guarantee you can make millions from all sorts of shady people around the globe without fear of prosecution. In fact, right this moment, the DOJ is accused of hiding 400 documents about lucrative gifts to Joe and Hunter Biden from Ukraine and Russia.

Sadly — and tellingly — Joe and Jill Biden want no part of young Navy. They refuse to count her among their grandchildren. Don’t even put up a stocking for her at the White House. Hunter Biden hasn’t even bothered to see his daughter.

If you want grandpa’s full attention and generosity, you can’t just change her last name to Biden, you have to change her first name to Ukraine.

Kamala Harris’ ‘Deep, Deep Insecurity’ Makes Her ‘Impossible to Manage,’ New Book Claims

A new book coming out on Joe Biden’s first year in office appears to go out of its way to trash Kamala Harris. In The Fight of His Life, former staffers and others within the White House accuse Harris of having a “deep, deep insecurity,” an unwillingness to prepare and a habit of lashing out at staffers when things don’t go right. All of which make her “impossible to manage.”

Gil Duran worked with Harris in California. “The amount of stress she created by constantly being impossible to manage and taking out all her stresses on staff — usually women, or people who were not in great positions of authority — was just kind of unbearable,” Duran told author Chris Whipple.

Duran lasted six months.

Another anonymous staffer who spent years with Harris claimed she “refused to do the kind of preparation that you need to do before going public on a hardcore policy matter. And then she became incensed and outraged when things wouldn’t go the way she thought they were supposed to. There was a lot of magical thinking.”

Since coming to the White House, Harris has gone through staffers the way Santa goes through Christmas cookies.

Yes Kamala Harris is a train wreck and an impossible boss. But you have to ask. Why would a book that is said to be so pro-Biden be so anti-Harris? An effort by the Biden people to cut down Harris so she can be removed from the ticket? Or do they want to tarnish her so badly that nobody will have the stomach to invoke the 25th Amendment or impeach Biden for fear of Harris taking over?

Biden Thinks Secret Service Lied About Dog Major Biting Agent … Doesn’t Trust Secret Service

Joe Biden thinks a Secret Service agent is lying about being bitten by Biden’s former dog Major. As The Stream reported in 2021, the German shepherd is the only mammal ever fired by the Biden Administration despite its unending string of colossal failures. Major was accused of attacking eight days in a row during his time in the White House before being shipped off to a Biden family friend.

However, Biden told a friend an agent lied about being bitten. “Look, the Secret Service are never up here,” he said pointing to the alleged scene of a particularly bad attack. “It didn’t happen.”

According to author Chris Whipple, Biden distrusts many of the Secret Service agents on the White House detail, considering them “MAGA sympathizers,” and white, former cops from the South.

Incidentally, although internal Secret Service emails indicate Major bit and attacked agents eight days in a row, the White House at first downplayed the issues with the dog, listing only one attack.

“The first family’s younger dog, Major, was surprised by an unfamiliar person and reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual,” then Press Secretary Jen Psaki said.

How easily they fib.

As for Major, if you missed excerpts from his “tell-all,” Major Disaster: My Year at the Biden White House, you can catch up to them here.

The Time Biden Was (Allegedly) Shoved by a Secret Service Agent

By the way, this isn’t the first time Biden has tangled with the Secret Service. Have you heard the story of the Secret Service agent who shoved the then-Veep when he got too touchy-feely with the agent’s girlfriend at a 2009 photo op? Gateway Pundit reported in 2017, the agent was suspended a week for “shoving Biden after he cupped his girlfriend’s breast while the couple was taking a photo with him. The situation got so heated … that others had to step in to prevent the agent from hitting the then-Vice President.”

In 2020, Judicial Watch tried to get Secret Service records of the alleged incident. Or for that matter, a denial that it ever happened. The Secret Service indirectly confirmed there was an incident, by responding,”[T]here are no responsive records or documents pertaining to your request in our files,” because “the above mentioned file(s) has been destroyed” due to “retention standards.” Judicial Watch sued under FOIA to get more details from the Secret Service on these records the Secret Service admits to destroying.

Biden Spent Nearly 40% of Time in 2022 Lounging Away From the White House

Joe Biden spent decades maneuvering and manipulating his way to the White House. Funny how little time he likes to spend there and spend doing the job. In 2022, Biden spent 38.6% of his time at his Delaware homes, Camp David or on vacation. Biden passed the last week in St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

As was the case with his Nantucket vacation, and his Kiawah Island vacation, a huge Democratic donor picked up the tab, hosting the Biden Family romp in the islands. If only he could turn the economy with the ease he turns his public offices into private perks.
