Senate Will Vote on Pro-Life Bill Banning Late-Term Abortions After 20 Weeks

By Published on July 16, 2015

Just days after a shocking new expose’ video depicted a top Planned Parenthood doctor discussing how the abortion business sells the body parts from aborted babies, Senate officials indicate the U.S. Senate will hold a vote after the August recess on the pro-life bill that bans abortions from after 20-weeks of pregnancy up to the day of birth.

The Senate plans to vote on a measure banning most abortions past 20 weeks of pregnancy when members return from August recess, Hill aides say.

The tentative plan is for the Judiciary Committee to take up the measure in September and for the full Senate to vote on it in October, although a full Senate vote could happen earlier.
