Pro-Abortion Dad Uses Kids to Push Agenda in Mike Pence’s DC Neighborhood
An abortion activist and father used his children as props over the holidays to pepper Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s Washington, D.C., neighborhood with signs pushing the pro-choice agenda.
NARAL Pro-Choice America, a national abortion rights group, organized the protest, arming workers with signs reading “This Neighborhood Trusts Women,” aimed at Pence’s stance as a social conservative.
The group placed the signs throughout the neighborhood, including on a lawn directly opposite from Pence’s temporary residence. The group claims to have received enthusiastic support from a majority of Pence’s neighbors, reports DCist.
“They were glad to have a way to show their resistance to the anti-choice and anti-woman agenda,” deputy field organizer Anne Bailey told DCist.
Bailey even noted how they were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of Pence’s neighbors, but none actually publicly commented on the issue to the DCist.

NARAL is branding the event a success, posting pictures to the group’s Twitter page. One picture shows a father smiling behind one of the signs with his two young children. Another picture shows a pile of protest signs lying in a heap on the grass.
The Chevy Chase neighborhood is extremely liberal, and over 90 percent of the area in D.C. did not vote for President-elect Donald Trump, reports The Hill.
Residents of the neighborhood previously protested Pence when he moved in by displaying rainbow flags on their properties, a statement against Pence’s position on gay marriage.
