O’Reilly: DNC Chairwoman Should Resign over Rubio Attack

By Published on September 25, 2015

Bill O’Reilly blasted Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, for what he called an “insane” and “vicious and utterly false attack” on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential fundraiser in Texas earlier this week, calling for the Florida lawmaker’s resignation on his program Thursday night.

Wasserman Schultz “reached a new low in political attack discourse” with her call for Rubio to cancel his fundraising event at the home of real estate investor Harlan Crow, O’Reilly said. Crow, whose lavish Highland Park, Texas, residence features artwork from Adolf Hitler and busts of dictators and other historical figures, also owns a signed copy of Mein Kampf.

“Holding an event in a house featuring the artwork and signed autobiography of a man who dedicated his life to extinguishing the Jewish people is the height of insensitivity and indifference,” Wasserman Schultz said in a statement released through the DNC. “There’s really no excuse for such a gross act of disrespect. Mr. Rubio, who by the way, represents a sizable Jewish population in our home state of Florida, should cancel this tasteless fundraiser.”
