North Korea Fires Missile Out of Pyongyang
North Korea has fired a ballistic missile out of the capital Friday.
“North Korea fired an unidentified missile eastward from the vicinity of Pyongyang this morning,” the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff revealed to Yonhap News Agency.
The last time North Korea fired a ballistic missile from a site near the capital, the rogue regime launched a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan.
In recent weeks, North Korea has raised alarms by moving intercontinental ballistic missiles towards the coast, leading some observers to conclude that North Korea intended to fire an ICBM over Japan to test its capabilities on a realistic combat trajectory.
The United Nations imposed stringent sanctions on North Korea Monday for its test of a possible staged thermonuclear bomb, leading the North to threaten to beat the U.S. to death like a rabid dog, sink Japan into the sea, and wipe out South Korea with fire.
The launch comes amid South Korean ballistic missile drills in the East Sea/Sea of Japan.
