Military Photo of the Day: Liberating a Sea Turtle

By Tom Sileo Published on July 22, 2020

A large green sea turtle is freed by U.S. Navy rescue swimmers after being found ensnared by fishing lines, nets and ropes in the harbor at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport on Andros Island in the Bahamas on July 13, 2020.

We are glad that thanks to the brave men and women of the U.S. Navy, this endangered sea turtle is safe and sound!
