Military Photo of the Day: In the Hall of Heroes

The portrait of fallen U.S. Army SFC Alwyn Cashe is unveiled at the Pentagon’s Hall of Heroes on December 17, 2021, in Arlington, Virginia. Sergeant 1st Class Cashe is the first and only African-American U.S. service member to receive the Medal of Honor for heroic actions performed after the 9/11 attacks.
