Military Photo of the Day: 76th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

By Tom Sileo Published on December 7, 2017

The USS Nevada burns off the Ford Island seaplane base during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. According to the U.S. Navy, 50 members of the USS Nevada’s command and crew were killed during the sneak attack.

We will never stop honoring the heroes of the USS Nevada, Pearl Harbor and our nation’s entire Greatest Generation of World War II heroes. On this solemn 76th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, we once again thank you and your families for saving the world.
