Military Photo of the Day: Young Brothers in Vietnam

By Shannon Henderson Published on September 16, 2018

Vietnamese Brothers Follow a Marine Protecting Their Village in September 1968.

“Comfort: Brothers display companionship as they follow a 3d Marine Division Leatherneck protecting their village from communist terrorists. Close family relationships are common to the South Vietnamese. Although years of war have destroyed homes and villages, strong family ties remain intact (official USMC photo by Sergeant J. G. McCullough).”

From the Jonathan F. Abel Collection (COLL/3611) at the Archives Branch, Marine Corps History Division.
