The American flag is flown at half-mast at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii on July 21, 2015, to honor the five U.S. service members killed in Chattanooga, Tenn.

It is deeply moving to see the victims of last week’s attack honored in such a sacred place. We will always remember the heroes of Pearl Harbor and Chattanooga.
