β€œMESSAGE TO THE JAPS—-A U.S. Army 155mm cannon in an ear-splitting blast discharges its missile toward the Japanese lines on Guadalcanal. Taking over last January, 1943, from where the U.S. Marines left off, the Army recently cleared out the remaining Japanese resistance to the island.”
