I pray Mr. Trump get his fascination for this guy out of his system and emerge with his issue settled wisely. Couldn’t help noticing the body language between the two. Reminds me of the scripture about the wicked fleeing when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Did you see Pres. Putin ill at ease, seemingly gripping his chair while Pres. Trump’s usual sangfroid remains in place. While imperfect and tone deaf at times for sure, Pres. Trump exhibits a strong heart. I think his past has rough spots, the pride braggadocio thing a problem still, he has the grace to be ashamed of his former illicit talk and behavior and I do think it is past. Putin, on the other hand, is a notorious ex-wife beater and wh*** monger. He shows up alone and again, somewhat ill at ease, while Pres. Trump comes with his wife of almost 20 years now and the general peace that comes from a clear conscience. That definitely happens, regardless of all the calumny and high crimes and degradation the left continually heaps at his door. You can’t fake Peace, and he has a good level of it.

Post-News Conference: Oops. When Putin came out with a spring in his step … it certainly appears that his classic machinations did not fail him yet again. Fault line with President Trump: Continuing to relate to the election meddling issue in the context of his personal election win being challenged, barring out any consideration of the fact that it happened and the import of that in general. The best way to put it is that he chose to emphasize the places of convergence and minimizing the places of non-convergence. Politically, he does that. However, and this is key, administratively, he relates differently. The sanctions on Russia, et al will not change. He’ll hold the lines needing to be held, I believe. He’s wiped the wide smile off Putin’s face before when his rhetoric has been so amiable, with actions that held US lines of accountability on him.
