Iranian state television just released new footage of the U.S. Navy sailors captured in January crying and looking frightened to a background of horror music.

The footage is yet another attempt by Iran to pour salt into the wound over the capture of 10 sailors in mid-January. The capture has divided the Obama administration, with Secretary of State John Kerry thankful for the quick return of the sailors and the cooperation exhibited by Iran. Defense Secretary Ash Carter, on the other hand, said in late January the incident made him “very, very angry,” adding that it was “really not okay” for Iranian media to take advantage of the situation.

It appears Iranian media is trying to take advantage again.

The video, produced by IRIB News Agency, opens with horror film music and shows repeated shots of sailors crying.

“It was a mistake, that was our fault, and we apologize for our mistake,” one of the sailors says.

Two U.S. riverine crafts had strayed into Iranian territorial waters after experiencing mechanical difficulties and came a little too close to Farsi Island. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized the crafts and detained the crews for about 15 hours before releasing the sailors. While the sailors weren’t harmed, it’s apparent that both they and the U.S. Navy were humiliated by the incident, which took place moments before President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address. Additionally, it appears that the IRGC made off with two SIM cards from satellite phones, though the rest of the gear seems to have been left in place.

The Navy’s investigation into the incident and the conduct of its own sailors is still ongoing.
