Immigrants Stalk, Circle, Menace Teenage Girls in Germany

By Published on February 27, 2016

Three teenage girls were sexually harassed Thursday by a large group of immigrants. The incident took place Thursday afternoon outside a shopping mall in the northern city of Kiel. Up to 30 men circled the girls — aged between 15 and 17 — and eventually verbally harassed them.

Security personnel at the restaurant alerted the police and broke up the situation. The arrest of four of the perpetrators was violent, and a few officers got minor injuries. All suspects have been released.

Police said the main suspects are two Afghan men who allegedly stalked the girls prior to the incident. They filmed the girls and shared the videos and photos with their friends to attract a larger crowd. Two of the girls managed to escape when they realized they were getting stalked, but they later returned to help their friend.

“This is an incredible burden for those girls and their families to bear,” State Minister of the Interior Stefan Studt said.

The incident comes less than two months after hundreds of women were sexually assaulted by large groups of immigrants in Cologne on New Year’s Eve. The vast majority of perpetrators will likely never be caught, officials say.
