FEC Reveals Trump’s Wife Donated Thousands to Hillary Clinton
Wife of leading candidate for the GOP presidential nomination Donald Trump donated thousands of dollars to the woman who he could end up fighting for the White House.
Melania Trump donated a cool $2,000 to campaign committee “Friends of Hillary” in 2006, according to the Federal Elections Commission. Mrs. Trump’s donation turned out to be money wasted after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was soundly beaten by then-Sen. Barack Obama.
But records show Mrs. Trump was far from partisan, giving $28,500 to the Republican National Committee and also donating money to 2008 GOP nominee Sen. John McCain — the same man her husband belittled for being captured in Vietnam.

Donald Trump has never been embarrassed about donating to both parties. “I was a businessman, and it was my obligation to get along with everybody, including the Clintons, including Democrats and liberals and Republicans and conservatives,” Trump said on Fox News Sunday.
