Family Group Gives Carolina AG a Lesson in Simple Biology

By Published on June 6, 2016

The Faith and Freedom Coalition attempts to give North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper a quick biology lesson in an ad criticizing his position against a new law requiring people to use the bathroom associated with their sex.

Cooper has refused to support the law, which is aimed at preventing transgender people from using the bathroom of their opposite sex. Everyone must use whatever bathroom corresponds to the sex listed on their birth certificate, according to the new law.

The ad, aired in Charlotte and Raleigh, serve as a biology lesson that explains how “Richard” and “Jane” have used the boy’s and girl’s bathroom, respectively, all their lives. It says celebrities and Obama have “made a mess” by fighting for transgenders to use the bathroom they want according to the gender they identify with.

Transgenders might make other children feel uncomfortable if they don’t use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity from birth, the ad stresses. “What if the girls didn’t want boys in their restroom?” the female voice over asks. “Or the boys didn’t want girls?”

“We deserve privacy,” the ad concludes. “Attorney General Roy Cooper should do his one job — defend North Carolina.”

Celebrity musicians have been boycotting North Carolina and canceling their music shows over the law. Businesses such as PayPal have also refused to expand their businesses there. In May, Obama sent out letters to all public school administrations, decreeing they had to comply with the “administration’s interpretation of civil rights law” and allow transgenders to use whatever bathroom they want. States have already begun to refuse to listen to Obama’s directive.
