As written in the PlayStation official website, the game tells the story of “the inhabitants of a remote English valley who are caught up in world-shattering events beyond their control or understanding.” Unlike most video games that is filled with action, puzzle solving and adventure, this game is more on getting engrossed in the story. With a relaxing take on the end of the world, the ultimate goal of “Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture” is to discover where everyone had gone to and learn what happened to them.

According to The Verge, the game provides very little guidance to push the player along but it’s not as complicated as it looks. There are ghostly wisps that will show the player points of interest if they are going to pay attention. Noises can also be heard in the game like beeping phones and alarms that will make the player want to investigate the location.

As the player explores through the place, they will learn where the people went and will even discover the story of the lives of the people. There are marriages in trouble, and problems with the church and these minor dodges make the game a whole lot more interesting

Games like “Gone Home” and “Dear Esther” are somewhat the same with the Rapture game so players who have played those games before will most likely know what to expect.
