“Fathers understand the importance of meeting their family’s physical needs, but what about challenges to the moral survival of their children?” asked Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., President of the Ruth Institute.

“Being a father today is full of hazards our own fathers couldn’t even imagine,” Morse said. “The social landscape is full of traps, courtesy of the Sexual Revolution.”

• What will you do if your precious daughter comes home from school and tells you: “Dad, I’m really a boy trapped in a girl’s body. I want to be myself and get rid of my breasts”?
• What if your son says, “Dad, I’m gay. I want to move to Los Angeles or San Francisco to explore my sexuality”?
• What happens when your adult daughter asks: “Dad, Mom, can you take care of my kids for a while? I’m going to stay with my new boyfriend. He’s the one. Really. This time it’s going to work.”
• What if your son announces: “My wife and I have grown apart. We’re always fighting. For the sake of the kids, we’re getting divorced.”

“These are encounters every father dreads. And they’re happening with increasing frequency, regardless of family background. Raising your children as good Christians isn’t an insurance policy any more.”

Morse will present “Defending Your Values like a Pro: a 15-Minute Defense of Traditional Christian Sexual Ethics.” Summit participants will receive this speech, along with a slideshow, FAQs, and more resources on a thumb drive to take home and be utilized within their sphere of influence.

Heartbeat International Expands Efforts to Rescue Lives

The latest Dr. J Show guest is Jor-El Godsey, President of Heartbeat International, the largest network of life-affirming pregnancy help outreach efforts in the world, in more than 80 countries.

“Women feel trapped into having an abortion,” Godsey says. “It’s not really a choice that they’re choosing… Many of these women don’t know the basics for how they might even imagine caring for a child. This is where the pregnancy help movement [comes in]. The very best alternative to abortion is another person… to empower and extend opportunity for her.”
