‘Captain America’ Illustrator Makes Special Gift for Fallen Deputy’s Son

The story of Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth’s young son Ryan wearing a Captain America shirt to his father’s funeral and his father being buried in one to match has touched hearts across the country.

The deputy, who was killed as he pumped gas, never got the chance to wear the shirt with his son.

He was laid to rest with it on, under his uniform.

The story caught the attention of people across the country, including the original illustrator of the Captain America comic, Allen Bellmen.
