A police bomb squad detonated a device Wednesday that was found inside the library at a Vicksburg school.

Students were evacuated about noon Wednesday from Warren Central Junior High School, Police Chief Walter Armstrong said.

The student told school staff that a classmate showed him the device, which the student brought to school in a book bag, according to Armstrong.
