Beautiful Churches: Church of the Ascension in Russia

This church was built in 1532 in Kolomenskoye, near Moscow, Russia to celebrate the birth of the prince Tsar Ivan IV, or “Ivan the Terrible.”

It was built in White Stone and is the first tent-roof stone church in Russia.
