The Arab Christian Evangelist with a $60 Million Al-Qaeda Price on His Head

By Published on October 30, 2015

Born in Egypt into a Coptic Christian family, Fr. Zakarias Botros experienced the terror of losing his brother — a martyr for the Christian faith — at a young age. He inherited his brother’s bible and the notes his brother had written there had a powerful effect upon him. Not long after, he became a priest and published pamphlets about Christianity and Islam. He became effective at converting Muslims to Christianity and came to baptize 500 of them. Soon he was charged with abetting “apostasy,” and imprisoned in horrible conditions for one year. He eventually escaped to the West and began to broadcast to the Mid-east and has reached as many as 60 million in one day. He is the founder of Al Fady TV Channel that broadcasts daily to Muslim nations and many other countries concerning the truth of Islam as found in Muslim scripture.
